DreamHack South Europe has finished with k1ck on the very top, defeating DN-Gaming 2-1 in the qualifier final.

The two day event in Valencia saw Portugal versus Spain in the qualifier final, as k1ck and DN-Gaming faced off in a best-of-three matchup to determine which of the two would qualify to DreamHack Winter 2011.

First map in the final turned out to be de_dust2, with DN-Gaming started out the better, winning the first half 10-5 after the Terrorists side. k1ck were able to counter that lead as the second half went in favor of the Portuguese team, only letting one round slip to the Spaniards, winning 16-11, k1ck claiming a 1-0 lead.

As much as k1ck had it going in the second half on the first map, DN-Gaming were on fire on the second map de_train. DN-Gaming managed a 10-5 lead after the Terrorists side and had no trouble picking up six rounds as CT, winning 16-5 and forcing the tiebreaker.

The teams squared off on de_inferno as the final map, with k1ck starting on the Terrorists side. After the great smack down on de_train, k1ck managed to hit back, producing an 11-4 lead as the teams changed sides. DN-Gaming managed to put a great amount of pressure on k1ck, forcing them to buying when money was tight. All in all it came down to the thirteenth round to determine the outcome, with k1ck leading 15-14. k1ck managed to lock it down 16-14, armed with basically whatever they could afford.
